Notes
Korbel Sec
has a very long distinguished history at Korbel. Sec was the
first champagne made by the Korbel brothers, starting back in
1882. While many things have changed in the last 130 years,
Korbel has stayed true to the original style.
Sec is a
slightly sweet style of champagne, which was very popular at the
turn of the century. Sec is softer and has a more lingering
fruit flavor on the palate, compared with drier styles of champagne
like Brut or Natural. Think of white peaches or pear vs.
green apple or citrus.
Food
Paring
During a
meal, try Sec with a selection of artisan cheeses, or with a salad
containing fresh fruit. Also, the slightly sweet Sec
Champagne pairs will with many deserts, including custards, fruit
tarts, sorbets and light cakes.
